The case arose out of a tragic nightclub fire in Rhode Island that killed 100 people and severely injured scores of others. Our office represented the family of a woman who was killed in the fire. Representation included coordinating discovery efforts necessary to support the claim, advocating for the family in the victims’ class action claim against several defendants, opening the deceased’s probate case. We also assisted in settling the case and distributing the proceeds from a seven-figure settlement between family members.
